Watch Care Guide
How do I clean my watch?
Keep it simple: use a clean, dry, soft cloth to wipe your watch gently. There’s no need to scrub; a light touch is all it takes. Avoid cloths with dust or grit, as these can cause scratches. Keep your watch away from perfumes, creams and hairsprays, as they can build up and be tricky to clean. For those harder-to-reach areas, a soft toothbrush works perfectly.
How do I change the battery?
We always recommend entrusting battery replacement to a professional jeweller or watch specialist. They’ll ensure the case is securely resealed and your watch’s water resistance is preserved. Changing it yourself may void the warranty or risk damage—something we’d hate to see happen.
Is My Watch Water-Resistant?
Your Maivelle watch is 3 ATM water-resistant, meaning it's safe from splashes, rain, or light moisture, perfect for everyday wear. That said, they’re not designed for swimming, showering or heavy water exposure. To keep your watch looking it’s best, always remove it before coming into contact with water.
How do I adjust a link strap?
Link straps require precise adjustment via adding or removing links.
Self-service: You can have this done quickly at most jewellers.
With Maivelle: If you’d like us to take care of this, simply share your wrist measurement when ordering (or contact us after purchase), and we’ll size your watch before it ships, ready to wear, straight out of your signature Maivelle gift box.
This is a complimentary service. Please note: resizing may add 1–2 working days to shipping. We’ll also include any removed links in your box, so you can have the fit amended later if needed.
How to resize your watch with Maivelle
Step 1 — Wrap
Take a soft measuring tape, or a strip of paper/string. Wrap it around your wrist where you’d wear your watch.
Step 2 — Mark
Mark the point where it overlaps.
Step 3 — Measure
Lay it flat and measure the length in centimetres or inches. This is your wrist circumference.
